Math:Mary wants to read 8 pages in her book. She reads 5 pages. How many pages
does she have left to read? What addition fact will help you solve the
problem? 5+8=13 5+3=8 8+ 5=13
Science: Look for pictures of a young animal and its parent from a magazine.
Cut out and paste these pictures in your homework composition book.Observe how
they are alike and different.
Social Studies:Harriet Tubman worked hard so people could be treated
fairly.How about you, how will you treat your classmate fairly?
Tuesday
Writing: Use these high frequency words in sentences: all, call,
eat,every,first,shall.

Math: Decide whether to add or subtract. There are 8 goldfish in the bowl.
Tony puts 2 more goldfish. How many goldfish are there now?

Wednesday
No School: Parent Teacher Conference Day
Practice your addition and subtraction facts flash cards as well as your
spelling list.
Thursday
Writing: Retell the story, Mr. C's Dinner to your family. Then write a list of
other foods Mr. C might serve at dinner.

your HW sheet.
Math: Review these math skills in order to prepare for the chapter test
tomorrow: Counting back using a number line,counting back,using doubles to
subtract,writing a number sentence,using related facts, fact families,using
addition facts to subtract,solving problems by choosing addition or subtract
Science:Draw how a seed grows into a pine tree.
Social Studies:Think of a leader that you know.What important thing does he or
she do?
Note: Written Homework and Reading Booklog are separate assignments. Please
make sure that both assignments are turned in every Friday.

order to develop speed in giving the sum and differences.
