Mrs. Weigel has worked as a home advisory teacher for seven years and
as a classroom teacher for twenty-one years. This will be her thirteenth
year teaching kindergarten at Calverton. She is married and has three
children. She enjoys reading, sailing, and dancing.
Ms. Constantine is a recent graduate with certification in Early
Childhood and Special Education. This will be her first year teaching
kindergarten at Calverton. She has one daughter and one son. She enjoys
outdoor sports, music, and yoga.
The kindergarten agenda is intended to offer balance between both the
academic and social needs of a five-year old. It is important that
Calverton's kindergarten program promotes excitement and enthusiasm for
learning. When Calverton kindergartners complete this curriculum, they
will be well prepared for first grade, both academically and socially,
confident in their ability to succeed, and eager to accept the next
scholastic challenge.
