As a native of Southern New Jersey, I graduated from Cook College, Rutgers
University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. I attended
Tufts University, School of Veterinary Medicine from 1997 to 1999 with the
goal of becoming a wildlife Veterinarian. In 1999, I left Tufts University
and discovered the field of environmental education as an environmental
educator in the Pine Barrens of Southern Jersey. Since then, I have worked
for a variety of Environmental Education Centers and Nonprofit Organizations
educating students about science and the environment. In 2005, I received my
Master's of Arts in Education Organizations, Leadership and Policy from the
University of Maryland, College of Education. Prior to teaching at The
Calverton School, I was managing the school programs at Pickering Creek
Audubon Center on the eastern shore of Maryland and training future
environmental educators. I now enjoy being able to get to know students and
teach them on a daily basis at the Calverton School! When I am not at the
Calverton School, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Andy and son Evan.
To learn Science and have fun learning it!
