Mrs. Kathy Liersemann
BA Concordia University
MA Texas Women's University
Mrs. Liersemann comes to us from Dallas, Texas where she taught in Second
Grade and Kindergarten and administrated in the Lower School. She has also
taught in California, Ohio, and New York.
While in Maryland Mrs. Liersemann has attended workshops in Orton-
Gillingham Phonics, The Maryland Writing Project, Reading Fluency, and
Diagnosing Language Needs.
The Liersemanns have three children - Sarah is a choral music instructor
in Connecticut while her husband, Chris works in finance in NYC. Grandsons,
Joshua and Zachary, are Mrs. Lieresmann's pride and joy! Son Aaron is
traveling throughout Central and South America this year, and John is a pro
soccer player and banker in Pittsburgh, PA.
Miss Abbey Meyrick
BA English, Mary Washington College
MS Elementary Education, concentration in the arts, Mary Washington College
Miss Meyrick grew up in Pompton Plains, New Jersey before attending Mary
Washington in Virginia. She has also spent time teaching children's
programs in gymnastics, rock climbing, and yoga.
Her parents still reside in North Jersey, as does her brother who works
in finance in Manhattan. Her sister and brother-in-law work at Gould
Academy, a boarding school in Maine, where they raise her two nieces (3rd
and 1st grade) and nephew (pre-K).
