Process

Step 1. Decide which role each person in your group will have.

Step 2. Once everyone knows their role, then go to your individual role
pages to get your instructions. This page will also give you web pages to
review to collect your information. Keep a journal of the information you
gather on your topic. This will be important when you are ready to make your
group design.

Step 3. After everyone in your group has their information, come back
together and share what you found with your group. Decide what mammals,
repitles, and plants are found in which layer of the rainforest.

Step 4. Now that you know which mammals, reptiles, and plants can be found
in the layers of the rainforest, decide which you will include in your
design, and create a list.

Step 5. Design a poster-sized drawing of your team three rainforest. Be
sure to include the mammals, repitles, and plants in the correct layers of
the rainforest.

Step 6. As a group write a persuasive letter to your teachers explaining why
your design should be chosen as the best rainforest design. Be sure to
include information you learned about the living things in the rainforest.
See the checklist in the evaluation section for the details of what your
letter should include.
