About Miss Short

I have been working as a physical education teacher in Howard County for 14 years. I started at TRES in 2000. I love being a TRES Retriever because my best friend is Reilly, a very friendly golden retriever.

I grew up in Howard County and attended Atholton ES, Hammond MS, and Oakland Mills HS. I later graduated from University of Maryland with a BS in Physical Education. My first teaching job was at Atholton ES which was very special since I had been a student there and my mother was a 1st and 2nd grade teacher at AES.

When I am not at school working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love to go on long walks or bike rides on wooded trails, play tennis, and read. I also have an interest in writing children's books. I am working on a book now about dogs. I will let you know if I ever make it into Barnes & Noble. : )

My wish for our TRES Retrievers is for them to capture a lifetime love for fitness and movement.
