Tues., Nov. 13th Mr. Eirich, Principal of
Westmar Middle School is hosting a Coffee With the Principal at 6pm. Corporal
Jim Hott (School Resource Officer) will be there with a great presentation on
Internet Misuse. This presentation is truly amazing, educational, and very
thought provoking. If you think you are informed of what the kids are doing
online and the dangers involved, it will still amaze you at how
quickly innocent information given out in chats etc. can turn very
dangerous! It is very worthwhile to come and see this. It will shock you. You
will learn different things to watch for including how to use safety
mechanisms to protect your kids. It features info on chatting, MySpace and
general internet misuse.
Mr. Eirich really wants to have good attendance so
that we will all benefit from this information. If you know of a parent from
Westmar, Westernport Elementary, or George's Creek who may be interested,
please remind them of this important meeting and ask them to come.
