NHD Essay Draft Feedback:
Format Requirements-- WLMS heading (name, date, period class)
Times New Roman
12 font
Double-space
OR blue/black ink, no cross-outs, no tears, neat handwriting
Do's/Don'ts
-Do use third person (no 1st or 2nd person such as "I", "my", "you")
-Avoid contractions (don't, can't, isn't)
-Add annotated bibliographies (not required on draft)
-Cutting and pasting from websites is cheating since you are taking credit for
work that does not belong to you. You must use quotes when taking someone
else's words and give credit in your paragraph and bibliography.
-Add details--you hsould be sure to have 5-7 good sentences per paragraph in
addition to any quotes you may use.
-Make sure you clearly connect your topic to the NHD theme
-Don't number paragraphs on your final draft.
-Don't just give a history of your topic--explain its impact on history!!!
