While we recognize each
child on his/her birthday, we are unable to have birthday parties in class.
If you and your child would like to celebrate during school, please send in an
individual treat for each child (cupcake, cookies, etc).These treats must be
store bought according to new MCPS regulations. Please note food allergies
before sending in treats. If the birthday treat contains ingredients from the
allergy list, please feel free to send in a separate treat for students with
allergies. You are more than welcome to pass out the treats and celebrate
with your child during lunch. However, if you are unable to do so, I would be
more than happy to pass out treats during lunch. We eat lunch at 11:30.
Please do not send
birthday invitations through backpacks or in cubbies. Please send them through
the mail as this helps to eliminate hurt feelings. Thank you for your
cooperation.
