A Change in Point of View

Choice 1:  Re-write the incident that happened to Charlie when he went out with his friends to Muggsy’s Saloon as described in Progress Report 9.  Write it from the point of view of Frank Reilly, Joe Carp, or someone else who might have known about it (suggestions:  the policeman, the landlady (Mrs. Flynn), the bartender or a patron in the bar.)

Choice 2:  Write about a made up incident at work in the spirit of the way Frank and Joe treat Charlie as shown in Progress Reports 8 and 9.  Write from the point of view of a co-worker or the boss, Mr. Donnegan.

Style requirements:

Ø     Must be one paragraph long or more (8 sentences min.)

Ø     Use one brushstroke or more (appositive, participle, absolute, adjectives out of order).  Underline it.

Ø     Use good word choice to make a clear voice for who’s writing.  Identify your speakers.
