INFORMATION ABOUT POTW'S POTW means Problem Of The Week. There will be 5 given during each quarter. Each POTW sheet will have a BCR (brief constructed response question) worth 3 points, and an ECR (extended constructed response question) worth 4 points, for a total value of 7 points. POTW's are usually given on a Tuesday or a Wednesday and due the following Tues. or Wed. We will practice these questions in class together. Students will then be given problems to complete at home. Each worksheet must be completed in approximately one week. Due dates will be given at the time the worksheet is given to the student. ITEMS TO REMEMBER ABOUT POTW'S. 1) Please complete POTW's on time. I will accept POTW's one day late with a reduction of one point for late work. 2) Complete all work in PENCIL. 3) Calculators CAN be used, but all work must be shown. 4) Label your answers. 5) Parents, friends, and family member can help you to complete each problem. Please begin the POTW on the day that you receive it. 6) Please try to complete as much of each problem by yourself first and then ask for help. 7) Help can be given by me at the beginning of each period or during Core Plus. When POTW's are returned, we will discuss them in class. Students should then correct all mistakes on looseleaf paper. I am always available for extra help during Core Plus, but please ask questions during class as well. Good luck.
