copy for the next class and an envelope.

11/16 and 11/17:  Practice your poems for The First Annual Poetry Slam for next class.

Your poetry project is due next class.  Please check your rubric packet for the final details of your 
assignment.

3AB and 4B:
The final project for your narrative poem, including the collage cover, is due on 11/17.

that it is typed in 12 point font.  We will be having a Writer's Workshop on Friday.  Please bring in 
your draft with the two examples of peer evaluation to class.

Complete your free write.  Write a free write for homework about your favorite color or season.  Hand 
in your work either typed or written in ink.  Include a hand drawn visual or photo at the bottom of 
your assignment.  Give it a title.  It should be eleven to thirteen sentences in length.

3AB and 4B:
Bring in a magazine for class.

Write the first draft of your narrative poem.  Focus on getting the skeleton of your draft down.  Do 
not be overly concerned with rhyme scheme.  Check your rubric and requirements packet for the 
details of the assignment.
