homework was assigned.
Two dates are written below because some classes meet on A-day and some classes
meet on B-day. Your assignment is due the next day that class meets. You do
not get to choose which day to turn it in.
Quarter 2 Homework:
From 11/16 and due on 11/18: Remember that you have a 100 minute Reading log
due on Friday!
From 11/10 and due on 11/12: Study for your assessment, Reading log of 100
minutes due on 11/12 and view Mrs. Katzen's teacherweb page for important
review notes.
Quarter 1 Homework:
Assigned on 11/5 and due on 11/10: New Reading Log will be due on 11/12:
Read for 100 minutes and update your new reading log.
Assigned on 11/3 and due on 11/5. Final Copy of Book Project Due. 50 minutes
of reading due.
Assigned on 10/30 and due on 11/3: Poster project is due on 11/5 and reading
log of 50 minutes only is due on 11/5.
Assigned on 10/26 and due on 10/28: Rough draft for the poster project is due
on 10/30 and the Final copy is due on 11/5. Study for your Vocab. quiz that
will be given on 10/28 from lesson 2 and complete a reading log this week that
will be due on 11/5. You must read for 50 minutes this week.
Assigned on 10/25 and due on 10/20: Study for text features quiz. Project on
text features due on 10/26.
Assigned on 10/13 and due on 10/15: Reading Log. Text features quiz on
10/20. Start studying notes.
Assigned 10/9 and due on 10/15: Continue working on your new Reading Log
which is due on 10/15. 100 minutes.
Assigned 10/7 and due on 10/9: Remember the reading log is due on Friday with
the parent signature.
Assigned 10/1 and due on 10/5: Continue reading log. 100 min. each week.
Please study for your vocabulary test on Monday, 10/5!
Assigned 9/29 and due on 10/5: Continue to read and look at the following:
TENTATIVE DATE FOR VOCABULARY QUIZ: 10/5, dependent upon how we think students
have progressed with the list. Quiz will be choose the correct word to fit a
sentence (multiple choice), as well as matching words to their definitions.
Regardless of the date of test, it would not hurt students to begin reviewing
words, their use, and their definitions to make these words a part of their
vocabulary. Further information will be posted here on 10/1.
Assigned 9/24 and due on 9/29: Study for your Following Directions/CUCC quiz.
You will need to write all 4 steps and tell what you do for each step. You
will need to USE CUCC on a set of directions.
Assigned 9/21 and due on future dates: NEW! Quiz on Following Directions on
9/29 CUCC. Reading log: 100 minutes with parent signature due on 9/24.
Assigned 9/10 and due on 9/14: Reading Log will be due on 9/18. 100 minutes.
Book orders are due on 9/14 also.
Assigned 9/2 and Due 9/8 SSR book brought or picked from Mrs. Katzen's classroom
set. Make a reading section in your binder for your important reading papers.

We will work on vocabulary this year. Each unit's words and definitions will
be displayed here as a back up copy in case you cannot locate your vocabulary
packet.
