Each student will need to have a graphing calculator to be kept and used
at home. The TI83+, TI 84 or the TI-inspire are sufficient, but any graphing
calculator will be fine. I would like all students to have this tool
available by October 15, 2008. I have a set of calculators to use in the
classroom so students can leave their own calculators at home.
Weekly Finish Line assignments will begin on Sept. 2, 2008. Students will be
given the opportunity to do their weekly Finish Line assignment whenever an
assignment is finished early in class or during core plus. It may also be
completed at home. Each assignment should be done on a separate sheet of
paper or should be cut out of the workbook so it can be turned in. These are
graded on completion as is is imperative that all problems are practiced.
I will be staying after school on Thursdays, beginning Nov. 6, 2008, in order
to provide extra help or support to students on lessons or homework. Please
send a note giving permission for your student to stay after and please pick
your student up by 4:30.
