WED. Read the section on Nuclear Power to the end of chapter 21. Answer the following questions:

1. What is the most common fuel used in nuclear reactors. This fuel is generally mined around 0.7 %. What has to be done to the fuel?

2. Describe the make up of a fuel rod?

3.Define: nuclear fission, chain reaction, control rolds.

4. When and what happened at Three Mile Island?

5. Look up Chernobyl and briefly describe what happened.

6. Describe the different ways that nuclear waste disposal methods.

7. What is nuclear plant decommissioning? Why is it so expensive?

THURS. Research "Peak Oil". Write a paragraph describing what it is and what different people think we should do about it.
