The children were excited to bring home their drafts and re-read and edit their stories. The children were asked to read the stories out loud to their parents and see if they made sense and discuss where they may have had to make changes. Stories did not have to come in completly 100% error free. As discussed in class sometimes it is effective to read the story to a buddy and recieve a fresh opinion on the story.Although this is a difficult assignment I believe the children are excited and proud of their work. If you have any questions about their writings or work thus far please feel free to contact me for more information on the topic. This is our biggest project this year and I'm excited to finish this unit exhibiting all of the student's orginal stories. 2/8There is a change in the spelling homework schedule. The children have two days to complete the 15 spelling sentences. Friday- Test Day The children have drafted their own fairy tale stories as a conclusion to our fairy tale unit. The children will have a opportunity to bring the drafts home to add more details, check for spelling and edit their paragraphs.
