The Leonard Conservation Agency needs your assistance. You have been asked
to conduct research on one particular biome and gather the necessary
material to inform people who may want to visit or move there. Once you have
all the necessary information, you will then produce a product that
showcases that biome in a visual and informational way. Some possible
choices are a poster, brochure, diorama, SlideShow, children's
book, scrapbook, report, etc. Be creative with your product. Your product
absolutely must include the following information:
1.location of your biome (where it is found on Earth)
2.information about the climate of biome
3.factual information about plants that are found there with 1-3 pictures
4.factual information about animals found there (include their adaptations)
with 1-3 pictures
5. 7-10 general interesting facts about your biome
6. glossary of terms(with definitions) about your biome (5-10 is appropriate)
7. Works cited with 2-3 different resources(use websites provided and
any books, including encyclopedias)
A notebook/notecards with all your research must be used before beginning the
actual product. Please be sure to write down all the resources you use in
gathering your information since you will be required to have a works cited
portion in your project. I have a handout that you will need that shows you
examples of different citations.
