Ms. Scelza-Pond has been at Marshwood Middle School since 2000. She is a
Registered Nurse with over 23 years of nursing experience. Areas of
experience include emergency/trauma nursing for adults and
children. Family health care and female health and education.
Ms. Pond lives with her 2 daughters in Sanford, ME. She also has a great
love for animals! Ask her about George and Jasper, and her 3 new kittens!!
She is definitely not the typical school nurse!!
I feel that health care for children is a family affair. Education should
include the child and the parents, and not only be informative, but able to
generate discussion and provide further opportunities for learnng.
It is my role to provide teachers, ancillary staff, children and families with
medical information that impacts learning in all environments, whether it be
school, home or office.
School safety and emergency preparedness is also part of my role at Marshwood
Great Works School.
