Useful Information

On the "Parenting Web Links" page, I have listed two websites that Dave Ruger
(South Berwick police officer)suggested parents use to help protect their
children on line. A very important piece of information mentioned: "CHAT
ROOMS LEAD TO CYBER PREDATORS!" Parents: monitor your children's on-line
activities closely!

The first session of Girls Inc began Monday, November 10. This is a national
organization that helps build self esteem in girls with a three part
curriculum: "I am Strong," "I Am Smart," and "I Am Bold." Stacey Barlow, a
South Berwick parent, is helping to coordinate the program. Each component
can be taken separately. There is a $75 fee for each section of this class,
but scholarships are available. It will meet on Mondays from 3:00 - 5:00. As
the late bus comes at 4:00, parents must be able to pick up their daughter at
5:00 at the Great Works School. If you have any questions, please call me at
the Great Works School (384-4010).
