VOLUNTEERS  

Ms. Mauger is currently recruiting volunteers who would be willing to learn to catalog new books for the collection, cover and shelve books, and run simple circulation tasks while she is instructing in classrooms. If you have any interest in helping out on a regular or semi-regular basis, please let her know. And thanks!  

BOOKFAIRS  

The school library hosts two bookfairs each school year, one in the Fall as a fundraiser and the other in the Spring, which is a buy one-get one free opportunity. Ms. Mauger needs lots of volunteer help to make these events run smoothly. The 2007 Fall Bookfair runs from Monday, Oct. 22 - Friday, Oct. 26, with an Evening Event on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 6-8 PM.  The 2008 Spring Bookfair will take place on Monday, May 5 - Friday, May 9, with the Evening Event on Wednesday, May 7, 6-8 PM.     Susan Casey, the parent volunteer coordinator, is recruiting help needed for this year's bookfairs. INTERNET SAFETY FOR YOUR CHILDREN

PARENT RECOMMENDED BOOKS

Have a favorite junior fiction or young adult book that you'd like to share with our students? If you want to write a recommend for a book that is part of our collection, I'd be happy to add it to the recommended book display that is an ongoing fixture in the school library.
