Welcome
to Middle School
Summer
Reading List
We
would like to encourage each incoming sixth grader to choose a novel from the
list below to read over the summer to help promote literacy for our students.
These books
were chosen in conjunction with our theme “Welcome to Middle School”.
Please choose
a book that is in the interest and reading level of your child.
We are asking
you to choose at least one book from this list to read in order to participate
in classroom discussions in the fall regarding the transition into middle
school. Our ultimate goal is to get students reading over the summer, so after
reading one book from this list, please continue to read titles of your choice.
Feel free to
stop by your local libraries to pick up a copy as they have been given this
list and will keep these books as readily available as possible.
Thank you for
your support in getting your kids interested in reading.
