Welcome to the 8 Purple Community!
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the eighth grade! We
look forward to the fall when we will begin a new school year.  Our philosophy
is simple.  We believe that all students can learn and what we teach them
should help them to be successful in a morally-based knowledge society. We
will provide a variety of learning experiences both in the classroom and out
within the community that will help them develop a disposition of continuous
problem solving and improvement. These experiences will include integrated
units and community service projects.

We utilize this site almost every day for communication with you! Just like in
past years, you can access nightly homework, important dates, upcoming
activities, announcements, and community photos.  We cannot emphasize enough
that if you want to “stay in the loop”, please check this site on a regular
basis.  We have already started to update this.

In an effort to have an excellent system for communication, I am creating a
