The BIG units in the 8th grade...

The 8th grade will participate in one interdisciplinary unit each trimester. Guest speakers, literature, movies, and activities are planned.

1st trimester... Immigration Day and a unit called "Where do we come from?"

2nd trimester... WWII and Panic!

3rd trimester... 1960s and the Civil Rights Movement

Community Service Projects...

Table of Plenty Soup Kitchen... We will serve 4 times this coming year. We hope that we get parents to volunteer to help cook, serve, and supervise. Each time, we will bring 10-15 different kids.

Holiday Service Day... The 2nd annual service day will involve baking, caroling, visiting shut-ins, and reading to elementary students. We will need parents to help with this! Stay tuned.

Advisory Day... Each advisory plans and executes a service project.

Light the Night... Our community will walk together in a service project to raise money for leukemia in September... details to come soon!
