For Parents

VOLUNTEERS

Mrs. Corriveau is currently recruiting volunteers who would be willing to cover and shelve books, and run simple circulation tasks. If you have any interest in helping out on a regular or semi-regular basis, please let her know. And thanks!

BOOKFAIRS

The school library hosts two bookfairs each school year, one in the Fall as a fundraiser and the other in the Spring, which is a buy one-get one free opportunity. Mrs. Corriveau needs lots of volunteer help to make these events run smoothly.     Susan Casey, the parent volunteer coordinator, is recruiting help needed for this year's bookfairs. Many thanks, Susan! If you would be willing to help out at the Fall and/or Spring bookfair with a two hour shift during the school day, please get in touch with Susan Casey or Mrs. Corriveau. Thank you!

INTERNET SAFETY FOR YOUR CHILDREN

There are many resources on the web that offer safety information and guidelines for you and your children. This library website has just a few of these links on the Internet Safety page.   http://teacherweb.com/ME/MarshwoodMiddleSchool/MMSLibrary/links4.stm

If you find any others that are valuable to you, please don't hesitate to share it a resource for others.

PARENT RECOMMENDED BOOKS

Have a favorite junior fiction or young adult book that you'd like to share with our students? If you want to write a recommend for a book that is part of our collection, I'd be happy to add it to the recommended book display that is an ongoing fixture in the school library.
