About The Teacher
I live right here in Kennebunk with my husband Dennis, who teaches at Consolidated, and our two children: Andy and Meghan. Andy is in his third year of graduate school in Massachusetts, studying to be an optometrist and Meghan is a Senior at Endicott as an art therapy major. We also have two little dogs, Bailey and Cadie, who are just so sweet! I have taught in MSAD #71~ now RSU 21 ~ at Consolidated, Sea Road, and here at MSK since 1995 when I returned to Kennebunk from Dexter, Maine. I grew up here, attending Cousins School, Park Street School, Kennebunk Junior High, and graduating from Kennebunk High School. Before moving back to Kennebunk, I taught Kindergarten, Fourth and Fifth grades in central Maine schools. This year I am continuing to teach math on our great team. I love the people I work with everyday, and I think that helps to make our wing a fun place to be! I hope you all love to learn all about fractions, decimals, order of operations, and algebra! It is going to be a busy year!!

Mission
Our mission this year is to make sure that everyone becomes comfortable - both with Mrs. Bodwell and with each other. Working together can sometimes be a challenge, but it is so important! I am hoping that we will all treat each other with the respect that we deserve and be kind to each other. Once we all feel at home, we can then take risks, ask questions, make good guesses, and learn to our fullest potential! I want this to be a fun, memorable year that helps define the person you will become!
