About The Teacher
This will be my 19th year teaching, with the past 8 years at MSK. I taught 6th grade in Mexico, Me. and 5th grade at Berwick Elementary School before coming to MSK. I was very happy to come back to Kennebunk, since it is where I grew up and attended schools. This will be my fourth year as Team Leader. I live in Wells with my husband Andy (who is also a teacher), my 12-year-old son Chandler, and my 9-year-old son Tyler. We are very busy during the summer swimming in our pool, riding bikes, camping, and visiting with family and friends. We spend a lot of time out on Peaks Island where my parents now live. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing sports and watching my boys play sports, playing games, reading, and going out to eat!

Mission
My mission as a teacher is to help my students believe that they can be successful inside and outside of the classroom. I want to provide them with an environment where each child will feel safe and accepted. By providing this sort of environment, I feel it allows children to take the initiative to ask for help when needed and to take chances and accept challenges. I know that in order for this to happen, they must first feel comfortable in the classroom with their teacher and peers. I will work on this through out the year and hopefully develop a close relationship with each of my students.
