Fluency Readings

An important step in growing as a reader is developing fluency.  This means that as a reader, you can read accurately, with appropriate speed, and expression.  When someone reads this way, it sounds pleasant, is easy to listen to, and has enough expression to help the listener understand and enjoy what's being read. This means no "robot reading" or speed reading, but reading that sounds like talking.

In second grade, we like to record ourselves reading using the program Audacity on our school laptops to hear how fluent we sound and to make goals for ourselves.  You can hear us on the links below.
