Our astronomy unit concludes with a mini-inquiry research topic of interest.
Students have been reading from various sources and taking notes on their
chosen topics. The skills they are learning include:
* how to ask substantial questions that require complex answers
* how to search for answers in multiple sources
* how to determine the truth, or the most current information available, by cross-referencing
* how to establish the credibility of a source
* how to put the information learned in our own words
* how to work together to create an interesting product
Students will be presenting their findings to the class this week.
