Charlevoix High School Daily Bulletin

· In an effort to keep us healthy, please stay home if you are getting sick. The most contagious time is when you start to feel symptoms, so stay home and get better! The attendance policy states 5 absences per class, not days. Also, extenuating illness with a doctor's note does not count toward the limits.

· Girls' Competitive Cheerleading Try-outs begin November 9th. Please pick up an application in the office. To prepare for try-outs, there'll be open gyms Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-5:00. You'll be trying out with a stunt group so start looking. Contact coach Nickel with questions.

· Rayder send off today for our awesome cross-country teams at 9:30. Best of luck at the state championships!! You will fly!

· Student Teacher Assistants, see Mrs. Cherry for 2nd marking period packets.

College Visits & Scholarship News

Juniors: You are required to have three college/trade school visits in your portfolio by the end of the year. Record them on the gray sheets and ask the rep. or Mrs. Dickinsin to sign them. Get it done now so you won't be scrambling in the spring! Also, you're allowed 2 days to visit colleges but they must be pre-arranged with the office to be excused. These visits are eye-opening.

Juniors and seniors, it's time to get those job shadows documented in your portfolio. Your future is a big deal and it's all up to you, so follow up your research with a solid interview and job shadow. See Mrs. Cherry for names of people to contact and assistance with ideas or phone calls. Seniors, this is a HUGE requirement for your senior interviews, not to mention that whole 'rest of your life' thing.
