Country Oaks Elementary
This fall I will be starting my fifthteenth year at Country Oaks Elementary!
Fifteen years ago I student taught at Country Oaks Elementary for Mrs.
Devers in the fifth grade. Upon graduating from college in December of
1999 I was hired as a long term substitute at Country Oaks in a first grade
classroom. After completing the school year I was lucky enough to be hired
as a fourth grade teacher. I spent three years teaching fourth grade and
have been teaching fifth grade ever since.
I currently live in Hartland with my husband Jason, our seven year
old daughter Madison and our four year old son Blake. During the summer
Madison, Blake and I had a ton of fun! We tried to fit in as many
adventures as possible. Our family spent many days at the Kensington Farm
and Sprinkler Park. We also enjoyed many playdates with friends. My hobbies
include spending time with my family, being outdoors, reading and running!
I spent my childhood in Commerce Township, Michigan. I went to Walled Lake
Central High School. I attended college at Central Michigan University where
I received my Bachelors of Science in Education with a major in Science and a
minor in Language Arts. I also have a Masters Degree from Marygrove
University. This fall I will be attending Oakland University to obtain my
Post Masters Educational Specialist in Leadership Degree.
I love teaching and look forward to another wonderful school year!
