Mrs. Gorrell's Wish List 1. All notes and communications would be read. 2. Each parent would ask/check daily to see if the student had any papers, corrections or homework, and return folder on Mondays. 3. Watch every Monday for the weekly Spelling List. Post it somewhere visible so words can be practiced. 4. Watch every Wednesday for the practice-spelling test and check on students progress. 5. Watch every Friday for the Final Test and give praise for improvement. 6. Insist on a nightly school time where spelling is practiced, math facts are reviewed, sentences are written or stories or sight words are read. 7. Look closely at papers coming home. Encourage your child to talk about the days activities. 8. Help your child remember Library Day and return library books! 9. Send a nutritious snack with your child daily. 10. Make sure your child gets to bed early so optimum learning can take place the next day. LETS HAVE A GREAT YEAR! |
