HALLOWEEN PARTY
Today my class and everyone else had a Halloween party. We also
did a parade around the classes. It was fun! I did not get to eat my snack.
Mom's came in and helped with setting up the table. We ate snacks and drank
juice and played with weird eyeballs. My friend Isabelle was sick and she
missed everything. We missed her and others who were not in school today. I
thought the party was fantastic.

On Monday the 28th of September we went to
Bishop Sample's house. Why did we go to Bishop Sample's house? We went to give
him a hero award. We were doing religion and we peeked out the window and saw
him picking up the garbage that the birds got into, so it wouldn't litter up
our neighborhood. I (Emily) got to give it to him and Abigail got to take his
picture. He liked getting a hero award as much as we liked giving him one.

On the First Day........
I liked:
Mr.Fleetwood, Lunch, my teacher, switch. I liked how clean my classroom was,
the scavenger hunt.
I thought:
it was fun, 3rd grade would be hard, it was a good school day. I thought being
in 3rd grade was awesome.
I was nervous about:
technology, math, the homework, seeing who was in my class
The best thing was:
the legos, meeting the new kids, all of it, going to music, the cupcakes,
getting to know my teachers.
I a
m glad:
I'm in third grade, I was with my friends, having Mrs. Allie, having Mrs.
Clement, that I have friends
Here are a couple pics
from day 1. Check back tomorrow for first impressions.

This is the page that fills you in on the
news in Third Grade!
First off we will start with the things that
last years third graders thought you should know about third grade.
Mrs. Clement can't spell, she has a messy
desk and gives lots of tickets. She likes poetry and is the "boss" most of the
time. She is patient, kind, fair and understanding. She is a good teacher.
Mrs. Allie is a great speller and she hates
flies. She loves adventures and likes to walk. Don't leave your pencils on the
floor and don't tell her you lost your homework. She is a clean freak. She is
not afraid to get down and dirty. She always smiles. She is a good teacher.
On this page you will find out what is going
on in general in grade 3. We work to update it as quickly as we can. Sometimes
it is updated the same day as an activity and some times it takes several
days. Scroll down to find some of the things that we reported on last year.
FYI
Third grade is a grade level experience. We
work together on everything. About the only thing that is different is our
religion lessons. We do however do our service learning projects as a group.
We have the same rules and same behavioral
expectations. All field trips are together. Mrs. Allie teaches Math, Science
and Spelling. Mrs. Clement teaches Language Arts, Social Studies and
Handwriting. We have a couple of guidelines for third grade.
*We are here everyday and WE
LIKE to have FUN!
But along with fun goes the responsibility
and the accountability
of being third grader! You never know when Mrs. Allie will talk Mrs. Clement
into something that is not on lthe schedule and if you are lagging behind in
your responsibilities, we will gladly give that time to catch up.
For example it might be a beautiful fall day
just saying to Mrs. Allie let's go to the park. If we have something on our
schedule that can be put off for a day, (responsibilty )we may take a walk to
Harlowe Park. But if you owe either of us work, we would have to leave you
behind with a fourth grade teacher or Mrs. Wright to give you time to catch
up(Accountability)
*We are mistake making and
risk taking.
This means it is alright to
make mistakes and try new things and not be embarassed if we mess up. Mrs.
Clement and Mrs. Allie like to be challanged by our work and so we are always
trying new things. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. We think it
is boring to do the samethings the same way all the time. We are risk takers.
*Everything
is findable.
We are firm believers of
this. We will wait while you look. You don't really want us to help you find
it. We believe you can do it yourself! We know that there are a few of you
that will want to test theory and that is ok. Just to let you know that Mrs.
Allie once found Mrs. Clement's checkbook that had been lost for a year!
We are excited
for a new year to
begin and to get to know each and everyone of you! We will definitely make
some great new memories.
