FREE WRITE FRIDAYS ARE LOOKED FORWARD TO.............
On Friday, Sept. 25th we worked on the TRAIT of IDEAS. Below you will find a sampling of writing from this session.
Today Marius and Abigail wrote about writing....
Maruis wrote...I kind of like writing and think it is F-U-N. The only thing I DON'T like about writing is we CAN'T talk. You know I said writing can be fun...right?......If I had a choice in writing to stop it or not, I would say, "Hold your horses people, I LOVE writing." Hopefully writing doesn't get endangered or extinct.
Abigail wrote....It's a beautiful day and I'd love to be outside, but instead I'm in here, right here, writing. I guess writing can be fun, but, well...I don't know how to day it. I don't know about you but I'm tired of writing! My hands are tired.....My body says, "Get working!"....My head says, "I know it's a beautiful day, but I can't have you in la la land with your head i the clouds when you should be writing....so GET WORKING!"
Emily and Julia both had the same idea...to write about music.
Emily's wrote......Music is so nice. I always have a song stuck in my head. My top 5 songs are...5... Rock With You, by Michael Jackson. 4...Love Story, by Taylor Swift. 3...White Horse, by Taylor Swift. 2...Raining Sunshine, by Miranda Cosgrove. 1...You Belong With Me, by Taylor Swift. I love singing and dancing to music. Any song people start singing I'm going to have to get up dance and sing with them. I think I have a great singing voice. Whenever I hear musifc that I love I smile becuase that's what makes me extra happy.
Julia wrote about a concert she is going to.....My favorite pop star is....Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montanna..aaaaahhhhhhh! I'm going to a concert on October 10th ....When I heard this news it was yell, yell, yell, scream, scream scream!...OK I confess I'm a tad, just a tad, obsessed..OK overly obsessed with her..going to the concert will be the happiest day of my life. I will be sad when it is over.
On Friday, Sept. 18th Aaron wrote about his dog, Toby...
My dogs name is Toby. He is a "shitzoo." He is super hyper! He loves treats! Once I was going to school. I had breakfast and I didn't push in my chair. After I was full, we left. Toby jumped on the chair...then he jumped on the table and finished my food. Toby loves human food! Toby's fun to play with. He likes to meet new people. Toby can tell if they're bad. He will bite super hard. This week Toby came into school on a pet day. I love Toby and Toby loves everyone.

Writing is like a sour pickle! I don't like writing at all. I don't like writing because it's boring. Writing is also like jumping off a cliff......Ouch! Somethings annoy me when I am writing. Do you like writing?

I like writing because it feels like being a grown-up to me! I like writing because, well...it's kind of fun. I like to write about animals and basketball and Star Wars. I like to write about lots of things. I write on paper, chalkboards, cardboard and lots of things. I write all the time. I just love to write.

Well, some days I like writing and some I don't. The days I don't like it and my mom asks me to, I start whining, saying, "I don't want to write." When I do want to write I happily sit and start. I usually like to write stories or books about animals, people and me.

I like writing, it is fun. I can write lots and lots. Writing is one of my hobbies. I have my own writing notebook at home. What I do at home most of the time is I write and write. I write stories and some times I write letters. I write about my friends and myself. I also write about sports, TV and video games.

Sometimes I think writing is boring. I think it is boring because you could just say it instead of writing it. Other times I think writing is fun because I get you get to express yourself in ways you want...it can be secret, and when you get older you may want to remember what you wrote.
