I will be sending home a copy of the Prayer of Sorrow for the children to practice.  This is a prayer they must know for Reconciliation.  I will begin testing them on this prayer on November 23rd.

 

We have begun our lessons on the sacraments.  We learned how the sacraments are gifts from God and each one gives us something to help us as members of the Christian community.  We will be continuing our lessons on the sacraments with a focus on the sacrament of Reconciliation as the students from St.Michaels and St.Louis the King parishes will be receiving this sacrament in the next 2 months.

 

You can help during these lessons by talking about when you received these sacraments-how it made you feel, what you did and any other memories you have.

You can help at home by having your child show reverence and respect when praying and also practice good behavior while in Church over the weekends.  Remember children watch everything we do, therefore we should be good role models for them to see.
