Our school day starts at 8am. After prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance,
directions are given for morning work and lunch count is taken. This is an
important time as it prepares students for the school day.
Students should not be in the classrooms before 7:50am. At this time, the
teachers are preparing for the day. Students arriving before 7:50am will
be asked to sit on the benches outside our classroom until 7:50am.
End of day dismissal is 2:30pm. If your child does not take the bus or go to
afterschool, they should be picked up at 2:30pm. Children not picked up by
2:45pm will be sent to afterschool. If they will not be picked up on time
due to unforseen circumstances, please call the school and let us know the
situation.
Due to the congestion in the hallway at the end of the day, we have been
asked not to dismiss the non-busing students from the classroom until both
bus lines have left the building. This will help us to be sure all of our
bus students get out on time and on the bus. Also, once you have picked up
your child, we ask that you exit the hallways as soon as possible. With so
many adults and children in the halls, it makes it difficult for the staff
and teachers to know who has been picked up and who is still waiting for
pickup.
