Homework

Homework for the week of November 30th, 2009

Dear Parents,
On Friday, we will be having breakfast at school. Your child should eat a regular breakfast. We will
be preparing a meal together to have at some time after 9:00. Mr. Sharrett promised the children he
would make them breakfast after the pigs went to market. The children are very excited to have an
opportunity to make a meal together. We will talk about measurement and food groups when we do the
meal.
This week for spelling we are working on a spelling rule that we call “Jeff Will Pass Buzz”. The rule
states that a short vowel, one syllable word that ends with the sounds of /s/, /f/, /l/, or /z/ doubles
the end letter in the word. Help your child study the following words.
During the month of December there will be only one spelling list given.

Jeff pass Buzz will
muff miss fizz tell
off mass fuzz bull
