Congratulations to all of the band, Orchestra, and choir students on an outstanding
performance at our Christmas concert! Everyone did an excellent job! We are very
proud of you!
We have our spring concert date set. It will be Thursday, May 27th which will be
held at St. Michael Church at 6:30 pm, and will include all band, Orchestra and
choir students. This is a required performance for all of the students.
Music festival will be held on Saturday, February 6th in Escanaba. About 20 7th and
8th grade band students are attending. A letter went home this week asking for parents
to help drive. Let me know if you didn't receive the letter and I will send another one
home. These students must be practicing on a regular basis.
Our Orchestra continues to meet Mondays from 2:15-3:00 throughout the school
year and will perform at the spring concert. If you would like your child to participate,
please let me know. We have a very small Orchestra and would love to have more
members.
We have our seats reserved to attend "Fiddler on the Roof" next May for the 6, 7, and
8th grade band students. I will collect money for the remainder of the ticket and for
the bus later this spring. Watch for details in the newsletter.
