Bands--All band students now have their instruments and music. I have
also handed out practice charts to all of the students and these need to
be signed by a parent and handed into me every Monday. Practicing is
worth 30% of each student's grade, so it is very important that everyone
is practicing on a regular basis. I ask that all students practice a minimum
of 60 minutes per week.
Computers--It would be an advantage for all students to work on some form
of typing program at home. Our school uses the "All the Right Type" typing
program that is available for purchase for home use. If you are interested in
purchasing this program, let me know. Working on a typing program at home
will certainly improve your child's typing skills as well as increase the speed of
words per minute.
