Band--All students must have a working instrument along with reeds,
valve oil, and music. Fifth grade band students are required to have
the Essential Elements 2000 Book which they will play out of this year
and at the start of their sixth grade. Sixth, seventh, and eighth grade
band students will be provided with sheet music that the students are
responsible for. Seventh and eighth grade band students who attend
music festival, will need to get music from me to practice, and will have
to pay for their entrance fees, which is about $7-$15. I have reeds for
sale for clarinets and saxophones for $2, oboe reeds for $15, and valve
oil and cork grease for $4. I also have replacement strings for any
Orchesta student that happens to break a string. The cost per string
varies based on the size of the instrument.
Computers--The only request I would have is that all students have
a working typing program on their home computers that they can
practice with on a regular basis. Our school uses the "All The Right
Type" program which can be purchased for home use. See me if you
