I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education and have been
teaching at Father Marquette for 22 years. I am a member of the
National
Art Education Association and the Michigan Art Education Association.
My
areas of concentration are in photography and wheel formed pottery. I
find
the work of my students fascinating! To guide them in creating artwork
and
understanding the world of art will always be one of the most rewarding
experiences I will ever have.
Visual art is an essential part of a students christian education. It
is a universal language understood by all children. Art enables a child to
respond in a meaningful way to the beauty of God's creation and to the
dignity of the individual. Art fosters understanding of our past and
present
culture and promotes global understanding and acceptance.
