Dear Parent/Guardian,

 

          Kellogg Elementary School Library is continually looking for ways to enrich and enlarge its collection by acquiring new titles.  However, now that the cost of a new library edition of a book is over $17.00, our library budget cannot cover all the additional titles we would like for our students here at Kellogg.

          Last year many of you chose to participate in the “Birthday Book” program providing many new titles for our library.  This program provides a way for you to both honor your child’s birthday and also help us add to our collection.  Here is how the program works if you choose to donate money to the program:

 

v     A special bookplate inscribed with your child’s name will be placed in the book of his or her choice.  Birthday Books are new books placed in a Birthday Box in our library.  On the student’s birthday, he or she will come to the library to choose a book from the box to inscribe with his or her name.  This is a nice reminder to younger children who will borrow this book of your child’s birthday gift to the library.

 

v     If you wish to donate money to purchase a Birthday Book in honor of your child’s birthday, please complete the form below and return to school with your donation of $13.00 to your child’s teacher.   If paying by check, make payable to Kellogg Elementary Library.
