I want to extend a huge thank you to Carri Kistner for planning and organizing our Christmas party. Thank you also to the parents who volunteered at the party as well as those who donated needed items. The students enjoyed both the activities and the treats.
Outdoor Recess
Students should be prepared for outdoor recess every day by having their outdoor gear (coat, hat, gloves/mittens, snow pants and boots) at school. It's especially important that they have boots as well as indoor shoes here at school each day. This helps keep their feet and our classroom floor dry. 
Moodle
Have you had a chance to check out our class Moodle site? If not, ask your child to show you how to access the site from our class webpage. Right now there are several extra credit assignments, forums to ask/answer questions and wikis to add facts from current units of study.
Grades Online
A great way to keep updated on your child's academic progress is by regularly checking his/her grades online. To access your child's grades, just click on Term 2 Grades and then type in your child's last name and password. You'll be able to view his/her overall grades, various category grades and assignment scores as well as work that is missing, past due or not done.

OFFICE MAX REWARDS
OfficeMax will give our classroom $1 or $3 (depending on the brand) for every qualifying ink/laser cartridge I mail in or bring to the store. If you have any used cartridges that you are getting rid of, please send them in and I will recycle them. This opportunity is a great way to help our class earn dollars for school supplies. Thank you for your help!
