Moodle

Below Is The Link To 509's Moodle.

This Is A Great Way For Our Class To:

  • Contact one-another.
  • Chat online with members in the class about topics/subjects covered.
  • Post answers to teacher/student generated questions.
  • Do online research.
  • Complete assigned quizzes and activities.
  • Complete extra "Stretch Your Thinking" activities.
  • View many other activities/tools for students and parents.

Parents New To Moodle:  This type of forum will be what you will see in many Middle School and High School classrooms as a state "Online Requirement".  Please feel free to contact me if you have questions.  It is a very secure site where only members from my class (and their parents) can log in.  I will be supervising the site and have rules/consequences for inappropriate dialogue.

Please read this agreement.  By entering 509’s Moodle you have agreed to follow these rules.  Anyone breaking these rules will be locked out of the Moodle.

509’s Moodle requires all users to follow the set rules. This is not to restrict your rights to free speech but to create a pleasant chatting and learning environment for everyone.  We do not tolerate behavior that is harmful to others. Our rules are pretty basic.  We all agree to help support an inviting place to chat and work with others in the class.

Here is a list of some of the violations which will result in being locked out from using 509’s Moodle. You agree not to do any of the following while in 509’s Moodle.

Ø     Teasing, threatening, or embarrassing others.

Ø      Using bad or offensive language or content.  Using symbols to disguise these words is also against the rules.

Ø    Disrupting the normal flow of talk by flooding.  Flooding is when you type long lines of nonsense or repeat the same thing over and over.

Ø     Acting inappropriately, even if you are just pretending.  If you would not say it in the classroom with Miss Jones there, you can’t say it in 509’s Moodle.

We want everyone to have fun in 509’s Moodle.  If we all work together and follow these simple rules, we can have a great online learning experience.

Have fun, enjoy, and get Moodling!

Miss Jones
