This is my ninth year of teaching in Gull Lake. I began my teaching
career in 4th grade at Ryan, and then taught 1st grade for two years at
Richland Elementary before returning to Ryan Intermediate five years ago to
teach 5th grade.
I graduated from Hope College where I studied elementary education with an
emphasis in Language Arts and Math. I received my Master's
degree in Reading from Grand Valley State University in 2007.
In my spare time I enjoy traveling, reading, attending Broadway musicals,
cheering on my favorite sports teams, playing card games and swimming.
I am excited about teaching your fifth graders this year!
Our class mission is to create responsible and respectful citizens who put
forth their personal best and strive to become lifelong learners.
