I'm very fortunate to have a wonderful group of second graders and parents to work with this year. I have a special THANK YOU for the great gift card to Food Dance from the entire class! This was a wonderful gift. Thank you for your generosity.

A special thanks to Mrs. Olsen, Mrs. Edgerly and Mrs. Sanders (our room moms) for planning a great Holiday party! We had so much fun. We've received many compliments on our holidy castle!

Despite our snow days we were able to complete another story in our reading series and take a math test this week. We will continue our unit on kindness in reading and start Unit 3 in math. Unit 3 is geometry and fractions. We will also be studying nonfiction to learn to write nonfiction, as well as, read it.

- Please make sure to set aside at leat 15 minutes a night for reading and 10 minutes for math fact practice a night. I will be starting reading and math flashcard contracts soon.
