Homework

Homework will be sent home in a folder every Tuesday and Thursday. The homework will be a review of concepts taught in class and can be completed independently. However, there will be times when you will be asked to complete a homework task with your child. There may also be times when your child will bring home an assignment on a night other than Tuesday or Thursday. I will try to give you advance notice of these assignments. One homework, either Tues. or Thurs, will be a spelling task. Please read the letter to parents at the top of the assignment. Basic math flashcard contracts will come home later in the year. These require a minimum of 5 minutes a night (Monday through Thursday), but no more than 10-15 minutes is necessary. I will specify which facts (addition, subtraction, or multiplication) your child should practice. I will discuss with the class that homework is their responsibility, not their parents. I suggest that you set aside a certain time on Tuesday and Thursday evenings specific for homework. You may also want to designate a quiet place in the house for your child to work on homework. However, it is your child's responsiblity to complete AND return the homework first thing the following morning. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns about the homework assignments.
Or, would you like to view and optionally restore one of these previous versions?
