We are working toward our performances of "Tall Tales and Heroes." Musically
we'll tell stories about Davy Crockett, Molly Pitcher, Johnny Appleseed, and
Calamity Jane.
Each student has choosen through "luck-of-the-draw" the part he or she wants
-- playing an instrument, singing at the mic, or speaking. All of us sing each
song. Costume notes went home the weeks of Oct. 5 and 12. If your student does
not play a character, the "standard" dress is jeans and a red, white, or blue
T-shirt with as little writing on it as possible. Wearing a shirt backwards
could be a good solution.
Put the date on your calendar now because the performance is part of each
student's grade.
