Our first performance will be the Fall Vocal Showcase at which all Gull Lake
choirs will sing. We'll sing at Richland Bible Church (soft seats and good
acoustics!) Thursday, Nov. 12. Singers should arrive at 6:30 p.m. to warm up.
The concert is from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.
We wear concert dress: dark pants or jeans OR long dark skirt OR dark skirt
and dark tights; white long-sleeved shirt and a sweater vest which belongs to
the school.
Music for first semester includes:
Turkey in the Straw (a tricky version of a fun folk song)
Durme, Durme (a beautiful minor melody)
High Hopes (great movie music with a message)
Let Those Merry Bells Ring (catchy holiday song with a guest bell player)
Al Shlosha
(a beautiful Hebrew piece we'll sing with Chorus --
maybe my very favorite choral piece)
