Credits/Debits (Responsibilities)

Each student will be a given a ledger book.  You will be given credits and debits during the week that will be calculated on Friday.  On Friday, after balancing your ledger, you will be given a paycheck for the money you have earned.  Money can be used at the 4th grade store at the end of the month.

 

Each day there are opportunities to earn credits or debits.  You will need to take care of your responsibilities each evening and each morning.  If you have these items at school, you will be credited (+).  If you forget an item, you will be debited (-).

Ledger                            +$.25           -$.50

Book Baggie Book         +$.25           -$.50

Homework                     +$.25           -$.50

 

Each student will also have a job that they are responsible for completing each day.  At the end of the week, if you have been responsible with your job, you will be credited $3.00.

 

Money will be given out and taken away during the day for a variety of reasons.  You will have a “wallet” to keep your money in and will be responsible for keeping track of it.

 

Flip-A-Card System (Behavior) - please note changes as of September 12

First Offense – a warning will be given.($.50)

Second Offense – student will lose $1.00 and flip to yellow.

Third Offense – student will lose $3.00, flip to orange and will write a note to mom and dad about the choices made.  The note will be written during student’s recess time in the afternoon.

Fourth Offense – student will be on red for that day, lose $5.00 and will receive a “yellow slip”.  This “yellow slip” will involve Mrs. Keeton.

 

**No money?  You will pay with recess time…Each .25 owed is 5 minutes of recess time.**

**  Anything “physical” – hitting, kicking, etc. will be an automatic orange. Could be red based on the severity of the issue. **
