How may I help the band?

1. Stay in band, 2. Encourage friends to join, 3. Talk positive, 4. 
Practice, 
5. Tell the director you will help where needed

In High School, may all students play at home football and basketball games?

Yes. As a matter of fact, all high school students are required to play at 
home football and basketball games. Grades are partially determined by 
participation at all scheduled events. Only those involved in varsity sports 
or cheerleaders may be excused from performing at home sports gigs.

Do I really need to practice my instrument?

Practicing will help you to play better. Play stuff you enjoy, but also work 
a little bit each time on some things that you have difficulty, i.e., scales.
Beginning Band Students (grade 5) are required to practice for a grade. Check

the director in many ways, ask to help!

My instrument does not play properly, what should I do?

First, let Mr. Korpi check it out. Second, take it to Michelson's in 
Negaunee 
for repair. If you are currently renting from them, there will be no charge 
for most repairs. Don't try to fix it yourself.
