In High School, may all students play at home football and basketball games?
Yes. As a matter of fact, all high school students are required to play at
home football and basketball games. Grades are partially determined by
participation at all scheduled events. Only those involved in varsity sports
or cheerleaders may be excused from performing at home sports gigs.

How can I get a Jolly Rancher from Mr. Korpi?
Email Mr. Korpi from this site saying, "I love band!"
--------------------------------------
Do I really need to practice my instrument?
Practicing will help you to play better. Play stuff you enjoy, but also work
a little bit each time on some things that you have difficulty, i.e., scales.
Beginning Band Students (grade 5) are required to practice for a grade. Check
out the Grading Procedures Page.

Music filing, inventory, instrument cleaning, music selection; You can help
the director in many ways, ask to help!

My instrument does not play properly, what should I do?
First, let Mr. Korpi check it out. Second, take it to Michelson's in
Negaunee
for repair. If you are currently renting from them, there will be no charge
for most repairs. Don't try to fix it yourself.

My instrument smells. Why?
It needs to be cleaned! Mr. Korpi can give you some tips.
